GETTING AROUND

Train

Lagos has rail connections with Faro via Albufeira and Loule. There are also trains to Lisbon via Tunes.

Car

The journey from Faro airport to Lagos takes 40 - 50 minutes, on exiting Faro airport you simply pick up the A22, which is the east west Algarve 4 lane motorway that takes you to Lagos. The motorway doesn't have any tolls and there are good service stations for rest stops.

We would recommend hiring a car whilst you stay in Lagos as this will allow you access to the stunning countryside and more remote beaches. However, once you are situated at the apartment you do not require a car to access the town centre, local restaurants, beaches and tourist attractions.

Bus

There are regular buses to Portimao, Sagres, Albufeira, Lisbon, and also to Seville (via Huelva) in Spain from Lagos bus station (tel: 282 762 944) on Rua Vasco da Gama.

Airport

The nearest airport is at Faro, the journey by car from Faro to Lagos is 40 - 50 minutes. Lisbon airport is approximately 2.5 hours away by car; you can also make this journey by train, with travel times dependent on your route.
